Before you file: If GoDaddy is only the registrar (not the host), they'll refer you to the actual hosting provider. Domain disputes need a UDRP filing, not a DMCA notice.
Steps
- Verify GoDaddy actually hosts the site using WHOIS. If not, they'll redirect you.
- Go to GoDaddy's IP claims center and select Copyright Complaints (or Trademark).
- Enter the infringing domain and your contact info.
- Describe and document the infringement, uploading screenshots and certificates.
- Provide specific URLs where the content appears, then sign and submit.
