Steps
- Verify the site is hosted by WordPress.com and not self-hosted WordPress.org.
- Try contacting the site owner directly first, through a comment or contact form.
- If unresolved, use the DMCA form or email dmca@automattic.com.
- Provide your full name, company, address, phone and email, the copyright holder's name, the exact permalink URL of the unauthorized material (not just the domain), a description of the copyrighted work, the location of your original material, and your signature and good faith statements.
- Submit.

Worth knowing
- Designated agent address: Automattic Inc., 60 29th Street #343, San Francisco, CA 94110.
- If a site says "Powered by WordPress," it is likely self-hosted (WordPress.org). You cannot file with WordPress.com/Automattic for those; find the actual host via WHOIS instead.
